A set of production artwork used in the production of the 1995 erotic sci-fi horror Species. A message from outer space gives humanity the code needed to create a human-alien hybrid. But when their creation, Sil (Natasha Henstridge), reaches puberty, the docile human turns into a sex-driven beast looking for one thing â€“ to reproduce.
Acquired from the collection of visual effects guru Richard Edlund, this set of production paperwork was used to help visualise the transformed Boy-Sil creature. The illustration copies are printed in black and white and colour on US Legal-sized paper and show an array of detail for the beast, including its face, body, lightning-fast elongating tongue and comparison images showing the differences between the Boy-Sil and Sil herself. Much of the artwork is marked with "Boss Films", the company charged with creating the film's visual effects.

Composed of 12 pages in all, the set displays some light wear and folds from its time in use on the 1994 production. However, the set remains in good production-used condition.
