Star Wars - Ep IV - A New Hope

Triple Storyboard Display - Gold Two, Han On Tauntaun, Admiral Ackbar (Gold 258AP)

Stock #69845

A special 'triple' original production used storyboard copy from the first three 'original' movies in the epic George Lucas saga, Star Wars. These stunning storyboards came from a complete set created for the visual effects sequences, which included everything from miniature ships in the sky to the rotoscopic effects of lasers firing from the Death Star’s gun turrets. A rare and unique set, these images offer a truly fantastic insight into the making of the movies at such an early stage of the production.

These particular pages begin with 'A New Hope' and depicts Gold Two in the cockpit of his Y-Wing fighter, with information such as which sequence it was involved in (Gold), the shot number, frame count, if any rotoscoping was required, the background and processing plate number, and finally a brief printed description underneath on this US Legal sheet. The second storyboard, from 'The Empire Strikes Back' shows Han Solo riding his tauntaun on the surface of the planet Hoth, with the final shot in this amazing display from Return of the Jedi, displaying a shot of Admiral Ackbar on the bridge of his flagship during the opening of the Death Star II attack.

The pages are hole punched from where they were grouped in sequence, forming a comprehensive shot by shot miniature version of the movie’s spectacular and ground-breaking effects. The storyboard from A New Hope is signed by the legendary Robert Watts, the production manager on 'A New Hope', the associate producer on 'The Empire Strikes Back' and the co-producer of 'Return of the Jedi', while the Empire Strikes Back storyboard is signed by Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor Brian Johnson and the Return of the Jedi storyboard is signed by producer Howard Kazanjian.

The whole collection comes beautifully presented in a custom built frame with laser cut mount board featuring the classic movie title for each film.
