A fibreglass head used in the production of the 1984 spoof movie Top Secret. Famous American pop singer Nick Rivers (Val Kilmer) is headed for East Germany to perform at a festival, but winds up involved in a dramatic rescue, trying to save the father of resistance fighter Hillary Flammond (Lucy Gutteridge) before he can build a powerful weapon for the Communists.
Made of fibreglass by the legendary special effects artist Stuart Freeborn, this head was used for a gag involving Rivers as he tries to works his way through the vents of an East German prison, only to end up coming out of a prison cell toilet. A fantastic likeness to Val Kilmer, the dummy head has a hilarious grinning expression, with eyebrows, eye lashes and glass eyes fitted to give the head a realistic look along with a paint finish to match Kilmer’s complexion at the time of filming.

Well used on the production, the head has suffered some damage over time, with flaked paint and damage to both of the ears. In spite of this damage, the piece remains in an overall good production-used condition and a fantastic example of Freeborn’s work.
