Will Caster's (Johnny Depp) Electrode Scalp Appliance worn in Wally Pfister's 2014 sci-fi drama, Transcendence. When world renowned scientist Dr. Caster is mortally poisoned by an anti-technology extremist group, he uploads his consciousness into a highly advanced artificial intelligence, allowing his brilliant mind to survive without his body. This scalp piece can be seen worn by Will as he uploads his memories and thoughts to the quantum computer after he is shot by R.I.F.T.
Made from silicone, this appliance features a thin layer of hand punched hair along the scalp and eyebrows. The thin hair is due to the radioactive damage inflicted upon Will from a laced bullet. This piece has sixteen electrodes that have been glued to the scalp, with long black plastic wires extending outward from each unit. The appliance has been pinned to a biscuit foam life cast of actor Johnny Depp's head, and has been cut in half diagonally (see photos).
This item displays make-up residue from where it was blended to match Depp's skin, and features minor wear from production use, with small tears in the material from where it was pinned to the head cast, however it remains in overall excellent condition.
