A Junior Novelization Cover Painting by Mike Pangrazio for the novelization of Ron Howard’s 1988 adventure fantasy, Willow. In the film, the reluctant Willow (Warwick Davis) must protect a baby prophesied to overthrow the evil witch Bavmorda (Jean Marsh). The poster features renditions of the main players, Willow, Bavmorda, Madmartigan(Val Kilmer), and Sorcha (Joanne Whalley). This painting was originally created as a potential version of the Willow theatrical one sheet, but was not selected for use. It was likely used in the process of creating cover art for the film's junior novel.
This acrylic painting finished with gloss acrylic varnish was done on particle board and signed on the lower right corner by the renowned Mike Pangrazio. Mike is best known for his matte painting of the government warehouse at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark.
The poster has some production and storage wear including stains, scratches, and worn edges, however it remains in overall good, production used condition.
