Wonka's Golden Ticket
Stock # 24595
This is an original golden ticket from the 1971 classic film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Several golden tickets can be seen in the film as the five lucky holders (and one family member each) will be granted complete access to the factory on a wondrous tour given by Willy Wonka himself.
This world famous prop is printed on gold colored foil paper with curves around the perimeter as well as several sizes and styles of black lettering which gives details of how the ticket holder can redeem the prize; Charlie’s (Peter Ostrum) ticket is read aloud by Grandpa Joe (Jack Albertson) in the film upon bringing it home to show his family. Instantly recognizable, these tickets were an integral part of the story as Wonka hid only five inside his chocolate bars around the globe and the lucky kids who found them were granted access to his mysterious factory which had been closed to the public for years.
This particular ticket came from a production crewmember on the film who kept it safe in their possession for the last 40 years! A letter of provenance accompanies the ticket. The ticket itself measures approximately 6.5” x 3.5” (17cm x 9cm) and is in great condition.
This item comes with a Prop Store Certificate of Authenticity.
