An SFX skull burst bust from the 1997 Wes Craven-produced horror film Wishmaster. In the film, an auction house employee accidentally unleashes a demonic genie who tries to force wishes on her so that he can unleash a legion of demons. This special effects piece comes from the film's prologue, when the Djinn's horrors are set upon a Persian palace in 1127 A.D. During the scene, a guest in the palace falls to the ground as his skeleton rips from his body.
This bust features a silicone skin over a fiberglass bust, and has been rigged with various cables used to operate the skull and pump blood through the gaping wound. The face has been decorated with a bear appliance and shows dried stage blood from the gruesome sequence.
This piece shows wear due to production use and age, particularly to the silicone face where the skull ripped through the silicone. The bust remains in fair used condition.
