"Boy-Sil" VFX Reference Sheets

A set of artwork used in the production of the 1995 erotic sci-fi horror Species. A message from outer space gives humanity the code needed to create a human-alien hybrid. But when their creation, Sil (Natasha Henstridge), reaches puberty, the docile human turns into a sex-driven beast looking for one thing â€“ to reproduce.
Acquired from the collection of visual effects co-ordinator Richard Edlund, this set of production paperwork was used to show the approved visual effects render of the transformed Boy-Sil creature. The production copies are printed in black and white on US Legal-sized paper and show off every angle of the creature. A production memo included with the renders detail the stage the model is at, noting that it is yet to be finished, noting also that the model was to use the same legs and arms as the conventional Sil model, before being signed of cryptically with the name "His Keeper."

Composed of 21 pages in all, the set displays some wear from its time in use on the 1994 production. However, the set remains in overall good production-used condition.
