How often does Propstore run auctions for which I could consign an item?

We hold two Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auctions per year, one in the late spring/summer (roughly around June) and one in the fall (roughly around November).
If I consign an item for auction, am I responsible for shipping it to Propstore?

Yes. The consignor is responsible for all fees associated with shipping the item to us.
If I consign an item for auction, when will I get paid?

After an auction, we quickly send out invoices to our buyers. You are paid as we are paid. Please note, our buyers may choose to pay immediately or may choose to pay over a 3-payment plan which lasts a total of approximately four months. If the buyer selects a payment plan, you will still be paid incrementally as we receive payment from the buyer. Please note; we do not ship an item to the buyer until they have fully paid for it.
Does Propstore offer cash advances on consignments?

Sometimes. We offer cash advances, but these are determined on a case-by-case basis. Where can I see a dashboard of my consignments?

Which Propstore location should I consign my items to?

Either! While we host one auction in London and the other in Los Angeles, our buyers are worldwide and do not discriminate. The successful auction of your item is equal regardless of which auction it appears in.
Does Propstore consider items in trade?

Sometimes. It is infrequent that we directly trade, but we MAY be willing to "buy" your item for store credit, allowing you to purchase the item you want. What is a Seller's Premium?

Our Seller's commission is the fee we charge to the Seller for our services. This fee is a percentage of the "hammer price," which is the price upon which the auctioneer's hammer falls.
What is a Buyer's Premium?

Our Buyer's Premium is the fee added to the "hammer price," which is the price upon which the auctioneer's hammer falls. Our Buyer's Premium is 25%.
What happens if an item I consigned does not sell at auction?

While we have a spectacular sell-through rate, from time to time an item does not sell in auction. However, that is not the end of your opportunity! After each auction, we place items that have not sold on our website as "second chance opportunities." While unsold items are listed this way, we accept offers from potential buyers and pass those offers on to you for approval. If we get no offers on an unsold item during this period, we can offer the item via our website's BUY NOW platform at a fixed price. Unsold items may be returned to the consignor at the consignor's expense.
What are my options when selling through Propstore?

Before accepting your consignment, we must conduct a thorough in-hand review to confirm authenticity and valuation. Once our review is complete, we offer three options for bringing your item to the market:

Option #1: Consign to our Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction (EMLA).
Twice a year, we hold massive auctions (one in the spring in the US and one in the fall in the UK), which garner a tremendous amount of media attention and thousands of potential buyers. If you want the best possible chance for a more significant financial return, this is your best option. However, because we only hold these auctions twice a year, you may have to wait some time before we can sell your item.

Option #2: Consign to our Fixed Price (BUY NOW) system.
Once we agree on a sales price, we list your item on our website at that price. This option is suitable for items in the $750-$1,500 range.

Option #3: Sell to Us.
We may be willing to purchase your item directly. However, as this places all of the risks on us, this option is likely to net you the smallest return. This option is good if you need money NOW and don't want to wait for option #1 or #2.
How does the Consign for Auction process work?

We will reply with an evaluation of the items we believe we can help you sell, including reserves and provisional auction estimates.

Once we agree on reserves/estimates, you will send the items in, and we will perform an in-hand assessment and prepare your items for auction.

Once your item sells at auction and the buyer pays us, we pay you, minus our Seller's commission.

My consignments don't come with COAs. Is that a problem?

Most likely, not. While a COA (Certificate of Authenticity) from a studio or an LOA (Letter of Authenticity) from a production member is always great to have and can increase the value of an item, in most cases, they are not necessary. I don't know the history of my items. Is that a problem?

The lack of history/provenance may be a problem, but this is a case-by-case issue.
